It was Mr. Hidaka who hooked on the first fish under cloudy conditions.
It was a nice proportioned GT caught on the Faube G-cup (cloudy black)

A mega tone super size GT attacked my lure at an ordinary point.

After a 5 minute fight the fish was surfaced.
The incident actually happened while testing for the new Hammer-head prototype lure, 115g C-cup.
The hook size was Decoy GT special 6/0.

Yes!! Although we were not able to weigh the fish, it was a 164cm GT.
Regarding the length of a GT, my record had been 163cm, so I managed to renew my record by 1 cm.

I was so happy, so here is another angle.
The muscular body and the thickness was amazing, but most of all,
the base of the tail was as thick as my calf.

To my surprise, captain Yu-chan also took a picture with me.
You can see how tough looking this 164cm GT is even when held by 2 (not so small) men.
The 164cm GT was only 4cm short of my self being 168cm.

With the help of the captain, it was successfully released.

The first fish caught during the first test run being 164cm is an amazing start to a lure.
Hammer-head Forb C-cup.

The strength and potential of the Decoy GT special 6/0 hook was also proved.
Actually, when this fish surfaced, only 1 rear hook was hooked up.
I may be repeating my self, but was able to recognize the importance of accurate hooking up,
and total balance of the tackle to successfully land the fish.

It was raining non stop and was even cold.
It comes naturally to use the cloudy black color lure.

Mr. Chiba is also on fire. He hooked up a big looking one at a difficult location.

The GT that surfaced with the G-cup in the mouth, was a expected, super tough looking.

There are many Needle fish and pikes around in these waters so this color popping pencil cannot be forgotten.

I did it again!! No other words describes it, but “Monster”.
Another 160cm over fish! It was 162cm.

162cm GT. I was able to catch 2 GTs which would have been most likely over 60kg in 1 fishing trip.
There is nothing that could beat this feeling.
These 2 GTs are only a stepping stone for an even bigger moster GT to be landed in the future.
